Streaming of MPEG-4 scalable 3D content encoded as a MESHGRID

چکیده
The demonstrator consists of a server-client setup allowing bi-directional communication, where the client receives from the server scalable 3D content encoded in the MESHGRID format, decodes it, displays the result, and allows some basic interaction with the 3D content. The bi-directional server-client communication allows optimizing the streaming (1) according to the processing power of the equipment and (2) for view dependent mode. This implies that the visible parts of the content will be sent at higher priority at the appropriate resolution and quality level.
